I’m a builder at heart.

I started my career in construction, first as a laborer, then as a manager, and eventually as a business owner, focusing primarily on residential bathroom remodels. Turning a customer’s vision for a tiled shower into reality taught me how to break complex projects down into individual steps, solve problems as they arise, and keep moving forward until the job is done.

I later joined AppFolio, where I saw those challenges from a different perspective. Working directly with property management companies, I’ve helped diagnose accounting and database issues, improve workflows, and find ways for customers to get more value from their software. I’ve developed a deeper understanding of how technology can eliminate repetitive work and make complex accounting processes easier to manage.

Now, as a software engineer, I’m combining those experiences to build practical tools that solve real problems. Through Resilient Coders, I’m developing software for small businesses, bringing the same mindset I learned in construction: understand the problem, find a practical solution, and keep building until it works.
